  • 1 cup apple cider

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in vanilla, then alternately add flour mixture and apple cider, beginning and ending with flour.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Arrange apple slices on top of the batter.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
