- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup chopped bok choy
- 20 wonton wrappers
- Formed wontons with your choice of filling (ground pork, shrimp, or vegetables)
- Fresh cilantro and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced carrots and cook until tender, about 3 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- While broth heats, form wontons by placing a small spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper, sealing edges well.
- Gently add wontons to the boiling broth and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they float and are cooked through.
- Add chopped bok choy and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with cilantro and chopped green onions.
Notes
- You can substitute with vegetarian fillings like tofu or vegetables.
- For extra flavor, add a drizzle of soy sauce or sesame oil before serving.
