Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
- Optional: cherry tomatoes, vegetables of choice
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Pour in balsamic vinegar and honey, stirring constantly. Simmer until the mixture thickens and becomes syrupy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet, coating with the balsamic glaze. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and tender. Add cherry tomatoes or vegetables if desired, and cook until tender.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving. Serve with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or salad.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in balsamic mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Adjust cooking time for chicken thighs or larger pieces accordingly.
- Serve garnished with more fresh herbs and drizzle with additional balsamic glaze for added taste.
