A traditional Japanese Gyoza Soup featuring homemade dumplings in a flavorful broth, garnished with fresh green onions and nori, perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 200g ground pork or chicken
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 20 store-bought or homemade gyoza wrappers
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix ground meat, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl to make filling.
  2. Place a small spoonful of filling in each gyoza wrapper and seal edges tightly.
  3. Bring broth to a boil in a large pot.
  4. Add gyoza carefully and cook until they float and are cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions and chopped nori.

Notes

Use fresh gyoza wrappers for best texture. You can also freeze uncooked gyoza for later use.
