Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup honey (preferably raw for a richer flavor)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, honey, eggs, and vanilla until well combined. Add the mashed bananas and mix gently.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Optional: fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips before baking.
- To keep the bread fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate for up to a week or freeze slices for longer storage.
