Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: a pinch of cayenne pepper for heat
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Cut the peeled sweet potatoes into evenly-sized fries. In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until thoroughly coated. Add cayenne pepper if desired.
- Spread the seasoned fries evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces or garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, ensure fries are evenly spaced on the baking sheet.
- Feel free to experiment with different seasonings such as cumin, chili powder, or cinnamon.
- These fries are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to regain crispiness.
