Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Mix sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Lay one pie crust in a pie dish, fill with apple mixture, then cover with the second crust.
- Crimp edges and cut small slits in the top crust for steam.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
