- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a heavy saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Cook until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage), about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nuts.
- Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.

- Use a candy thermometer for accurate temperature.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
