- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 package active dry yeast
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup warm milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- Dried cranberries and raisins for filling
- Powdered sugar for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with dried cranberries and raisins, then roll up tightly and shape into a loaf.
- Place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

- Add chopped nuts or orange zest for extra flavor.
