Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bread across in a crisscross pattern without cutting all the way through.
  2. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Brush generously into the cuts and over the entire loaf.
  3. Stuff shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese between the slices.
  4. Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes for a crisp top. Serve warm.
