- 1 loaf of Italian bread
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bread across in a crisscross pattern without cutting all the way through.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Brush generously into the cuts and over the entire loaf.
- Stuff shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese between the slices.
- Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes for a crisp top. Serve warm.

- Use fresh herbs for best flavor.
- You can add cooked bacon or jalapenos for a spicy kick.
