- 3 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, roasted and minced
- 2 cups shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes in the dish.
- Sprinkle with roasted garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Pour some heavy cream and sprinkle with cheeses.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For an extra crispy top, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end.
- You can substitute Gruyere with cheddar or mozzarella.
