- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced or crumbled
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onion, garlic, carrots, and celery until tender.
- Add chicken broth and Italian seasoning; bring to a simmer.
- Return sausage to the pot and cook for 10 minutes. <li id="instruction-step-5" Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

- You can use turkey or chicken sausage for a leaner option.
