- 1 lb Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 package (16 oz)gnocchi
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups spinach, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook sausage slices over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant and translucent.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Stir in gnocchi and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce heat, add cooked sausage, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in spinach and cook until wilted. Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese and parsley.
Notes
- You can substitute pork sausage with turkey sausage for a leaner option.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine when sautéing the onion and garlic.
