- 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup (240 ml) chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add broth and bring to a boil. Stir in pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until sauce thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to add cooked chicken or shrimp for added protein.
- For a vegan version, substitute butter with olive oil and Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
