- 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup chopped fresh broccoli
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan, sauté broccoli until tender. Season with salt and pepper. Let cool slightly.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet. Spread the cooled broccoli evenly over the surface.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the broccoli. Roll up the pastry tightly into a log.
- Slice into 1-inch thick pinwheels and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Feel free to add cooked ham or bacon for extra flavor.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
