  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, mixing just until combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the pan, spread cream cheese mixture, then add remaining batter and blueberries.
  7. Swirl gently with a knife. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool before slicing.
